Sounds like this recipe was passed on from the worm in a tequila bottle to the author just before the author collapsed due to overwhelming alcoholic inspiration.

Mind you, it is an incorrect notion that there are worms in tequila bottles. In fact, worms are only put into mezcal, another a drink that is the close cousin to tequila. Both drinks are made from the Agave plant, but it's only tequila when made from the Blue Weber Agave in one of the 5 designated tequila states of Mexico. If made with Blue Weber Agave outside of those states, it's mezcal.

But who cares? Let's keep that myth alive! It was the worm's fault that you didn't have any real food in the house and therefore had to create some meal that resembled food.

Good work. All the makings of a balanced meal are there - minus the tequila.

Ole, my friends. Ole.

Wow Regan, how did you know all that? You're like Norm from Cheers!

As an aside, you could probably get away with using only half the packet of taco seasoning. I think using the whole thing is a bit much.

Actually, I believe you were likening my great wisdom to that of Cliff (more specifall Clifford Clavin) played by John Ratzenberger.

I always liked that character, but I think I'm more of the "Carla Maria Victoria Angelina Teresa Appollonian Luzupone Tortelli LeBec" type minus the ex husbands and creepy children.
